Summer Showers

My sisters getting married! Yee haaaa! And whats the best part? Of course its the showers thrown by friends with amazing taste in food, decor, atmosphere, and great style! On the other hand, most showers tend to be more traditional, and although I enjoy them, I personally prefer that extra flare. To be completely honest, I am more likely to stay longer and enjoy the afternoon at a shower with that extra touch of ambiance!
So my sisters maid of honor Tiffany and her momma Gabby did an amazing job on the shower. It was beautiful. From their lush backyard to the arrangement of the food, just an amazing afternoon. They also brought in a private barista with this gorgeous espresso machine that shimmered in the sun! Take a look...

Such a gorgeous California home. Sprawling back yard, lush, and a block up from the cliffs on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Made for the best atmosphere catching up with friends, sipping' iced tea (and cappuccinos!), and admiring all of Katies amazing Pottery Barn and William Sonoma gifts!! So jealous.

I just like looking at this espresso machine. Its all in the decor and how that adds to the overall atmosphere. This copper beauty excited guests because it was so different and unexpected for a more intimate party...and, the drinks were delicious!

Food catered by Bristol Farms. The salads, wraps, fruit and veggie platters, and appetizers were all so wonderful and light. There was an option for all eaters and it had that country feel, which is very cohesive with Katie's wedding.

I know they are just vegetables, but they look so much more appetizing arranged like this! And I love the colors!

Food was great. Yes, very important. I love food, we know this, it is a central focus in my life. But now, the clothes. I really love seeing what the ladies wear to afternoon showers because its almost always delicate, pretty, and feminine. Check it out...

I am obsessed with this Lotta Stensson "robe" right now. I got this and some other amazing duds from doing a shoot with Lotta for her fall line and love this dress.  Its sheer with a slit up the front, and can be worn over a suit or tank dress like I have here. The print is gorgeous and looks great in person. I got compliments all day long, which makes me want to wear it again!

I paired it with stacked gold bracelets, gold hoops, and my House of Harlow ring. Not shown here: Zara camel leather stacked heels (flat sandals, heels, or wedges looked great with this as well).

Jillian
I love this. Simple tee with a vibrant floor length skirt and wedges...Suede "T" Wedges! The best type, of course! Not to mention how Jillian paired these amazing colors which bring out her auburn locks. Totally one of my favorites, I'm obsessed.

Brittany and Randy
The blonde bombshell is my best friend. We, meaning me, decided that if for some reason we are not married at 35, we will just live together forever as besties taking on the world. Back to the picture.
Randy is her sis and mine too kinda, I love them both.
Britt's dress cascades in the back, a fun surprise with that flare of femininity and detail. I love neutrals and this looks great on her bronzed skin.
Randy's dress is more tough and feminine, a combo which I can't get enough of. The shirt dress with flat strappy sandals and that fringe hobo complete the look effortlessly.
Their accessories are great. Love the silver and stacked bracelets.

Some call her Michelle, we call her Bootsy.
Bootsy's outfit paired with that rad tattoo stuck out to me from the get go! Her nails are neon pink as well as her lipstick, her yellow highlighter clutch really revs me up, her black and white graphic shift is the shift, and her long silver necklace really makes this minx meow. All matched with black lace up espadrilles and her creamy skin, I'm in love! Bootsy has an eye for style and is that friend who is always bound to look hip. I wonder if it's as easy as she makes it look or if she has to try like the rest of us...

Kelli
Kelli is my sis in law and she is rocking it! I looooove her auburn hair with these colors. The sheer multi-colored wrap, the gold and turquoise jewelry, and sassy do give her that fresh and vibrant look.

Of course I have to introduce you to the love birds! Katie and Pat in a twin sandwich.

The end
